This ceremony originates from indigenous people, such as the Lakota (native americans), who used the sweat lodge for cleansing, prayer, and healing.
The heat of the stones, the steam, the scent of the earth and herbs, the power of the songs and the spoken prayers... everything works together as a deep cleansing.
Your body begins to sweat, to release tension, to let go. Here, water becomes a carrier of intention, a cleansing on a physical, emotional and energetic level. And then... the moment you leave the sweatlodge. As if you are being reborn. From the dark, warm womb back into the light.
You feel the fresh air, the sun on your skin, the grass under your feet. Often more clear and lighter. More connected with yourself and with life.
During the ceremony Kato will sing and share prayers for the elements and four wind directions.
